Lead Interior Designer

JOB TITLE: Lead Interior Designer 
JOB TYPE: Full-Time 
LOCATION: Based out of our Studio in downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE. A hybrid arrangement may be considered for the right candidate.
SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $80,000

OVERVIEW: We are looking for an experienced lead designer with 3+ years of experience to join the Weeth Home team. Our ideal team member will have deep knowledge of construction, space planning, furnishings, as well as experience managing budgets, new build and renovation milestones, and client communication. We will need a designer who is comfortable spending time in the field, ensuring trades our executing our vision. Our lead designer will also share our love for thoughtful, layered design inspired by our coastal roots. Most importantly, we are seeking a positive, detail-oriented, and energetic leader who thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Principal Designer to drive the creation of residential design plans from start to finish. 

  • Compose mood boards and floor plans.

  • Develop a design scheme and material selections.

  • Create floor plans, elevations, and develop detailed documentation to aid in design execution. 

  • Manage material and FFE budgets against selections.

  • Lead client presentations.

  • Partner closely with trades and contractors in the field for precise execution.

  • Own the execution of design concepts through install for furnishings and soft finishes. 

  • Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where proactive communication, creative thinking and a strong sense of ownership is valued.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least three years working as a designer at a residential interior design firm.

  • Experience independently running design projects from start to finish.

  • Ability to independently create plans, elevations and other documentation using AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Revit, SketchUp, or other software-based tools. 

  • Detailed knowledge of finishes, materials, and standard specifications and terminology for design-related items.

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team. 

  • Organized and detail-oriented with schedules, emails, communication, drawings and presentations.

  • Reliable car and willing to travel as needed for projects.

  • Ability to physically work on tasks including shopping, hauling samples, installation days and weeks which includes moving items, making beds, cleaning and packing.

  • Familiar with design vendors, including furniture, fabric, lighting, tile/plumbing, rugs, etc.

Junior Interior Designer

JOB TITLE: Junior Designer

JOB TYPE: Full Time

OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a junior designer to join our growing residential design firm. Our ideal team member will have some hands-on experience with space planning, design development, and material finishes. They will also share our love for thoughtful, layered design inspired by our coastal roots. Most importantly, we are seeking a positive, energetic, and detail-oriented contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will offer an immediate opportunity to contribute on all facets and phases of our design process, so bringing a strong design to learn, grow and develop as a designer is a must.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with the Principal Designer and Lead Designer to develop cohesive residential design plans from start to finish. This will include active work in all phases, from concept design through install.

  • Compose moodboards and floorplans, develop selections, and create interior elevations. 

  • Support design development by creating and maintaining schedules and spec sheets, design files (elevations, floorpans, etc.), project binders, project samples, and material bins. 

  • Communicate with trade partners to clarify technical questions as they arise. 

  • Participate in team meetings and client presentations as needed, including presentation boards, materials and finishes, color palettes, and lighting, and furnishings.

  • Running sample pick-ups from vendors, visits to project sites (measures, builder walk-throughs, etc.), and other tasks outside of the office setting. 

  • Manage tasks on multiple projects at once. 

  • Desire to grow and develop professionally while building the Weeth Home brand.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Under two years of working experience in Interior Design (internships included).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school. 

  • Ability to draft floor plans, elevations and other documentation in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or other software-based tools. 

  • Knowledge of Chief Architect is a plus. 

  • Familiarity with design vendors, including furniture, fabric, lighting, tile/plumbing, rugs, etc.

  • Practical knowledge of design styles and eras. 

  • Experience working on residential construction is a plus. 

  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team. 

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with schedules, emails, communication, drawings and presentations. 

  • Reliable car and willing to travel. 

  • Ability to physically work on tasks including shopping, hauling samples, installation days and weeks which includes moving items, making beds, cleaning and packing.

Retail Brand Manager

JOB TITLE: Retail & Brand Manager

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Based out of our Shop in downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE. 

COMPENSATION: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

OVERVIEW:

We're in search of a Retail and Brand Manager to join our fun, dynamic team. This role will focus on our interiors/home specialty retail store, using the shop as the key consumer-facing element of our growing interior design brand. Responsibilities will include: inventory planning and purchasing, merchandising, e-commerce and social media marketing, shipping coordination, and day-to-day store management in a luxury showroom environment. This role will help us get our web store up and running, while maintaining an award-winning brick and mortar home store. This is an in-person position in our Rehoboth Beach, DE shop.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inventory & Assortment Management: Partner with designers to plan the shop assortment and inventory levels. Leveraging sales data and inputs from ownership. Catalog and organize new inventory as it arrives to ensure Shop keeps a tidy, organized appearance. Maintain appropriate selling levels, source creative new makers, and lead communication with vendors.

  • E-Commerce: Partner with owners to maintain website. Handle customer service, product inquiries, and fulfillment from web sales.

  • Merchandising: Maintain a beautiful, elevated experience by styling displays and supporting to our brand standards.

  • Customer Service: Greet and support customers in the shop with a friendly, enthusiastic and inclusive spirit.

  • Storytelling: Know the assortment, including price points and unique characteristics such as materials, construction or origin.

  • Social Media Marketing: Lead content planning and creation for the shop Instagram feed (@shopweethhome). Ensure new drops are properly promoted, and respond to comments and questions.

  • Desire to grow and develop professionally while building the Weeth Home brand.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Self-starter with a team-oriented mentality.

  • Experience in retail environments, specifically within interiors/home or fashion.

  • Love of aesthetic beauty and excitement to learn the world of interior design, trends, and merchandising techniques.

  • Understanding of e-commerce and comfort with back-end management including product listings, pricing, inventory, and product assets (photos, copy, etc.).

  • Regular user of Instagram, with understanding of how brands maintain a strong presence on the platform.
